Galilee Family,
As we come to the close of our 128th Homecoming Celebration and Revival, we want to take a moment to reflect on what a blessed few days we shared together under our theme, “Walking in the Light.”

Homecoming Sunday Morning: “What We Know”
Homecoming Sunday began with Pastor Williams bringing our study through 1 John to a close with “What We Know,” from 1 John 5.
John repeatedly reminds believers that there are some things we can simply know: things that are settled, established, and absolutely certain because of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pastor Williams reminded us of five things we know:
Certainty: We know we have life. “He who has the Son has the life.”
Communication: We know He hears us when we pray according to His will.
Covering: We know we are protected. God keeps His own.
Citizenship: We know where we stand. We are of God, and He has given us understanding.
Caution: We must guard what we know. “Little children, guard yourselves from idols.” Anything that takes God’s rightful place in our hearts can become an idol.
The closing charge was simple, but powerful:
We Know, Now Go!
Because what we know is not meant to remain inside the walls of the church. If we know that we have life in Christ, know that He hears us, know that He keeps us, and know where we stand, then we are called to go and live like we know it. We go with certainty. We go with confidence in God. We go carrying His love and His light into the places where He has positioned us, and that charge carried right into our 3:00 PM Homecoming Celebration.
3:00 PM Homecoming Celebration: “You Need to Lighten Up”
Rev. Kedric L. McKnight challenged us from Matthew 5:14-16 with “You Need to Lighten Up.” God saved us to shine in the darkness. Our answer is not to spend our time complaining about how dark the world has become. The answer is for the light to shine!
Rev. McKnight reminded us to Remember our Position. Jesus tells us who we are and where He has placed us. Where God has positioned us is not by coincidence. When God places us on a hill, we cannot live as though no one is watching. Light that disappears in the midst of dark places has abandoned its assignment.
He also challenged us to Resist the Pressure. The issue is not simply whether we have light, but whether anybody can see it. God placed His light within us for the benefit of others, so we cannot allow pressure to make us cover what He has called us to shine.
We Know, Now Go, and when we go, let the light shine.
Then came Revival!
Revival Night One: “The Lamp & the Light”
On Night One, Rev. Bobby Gibson, Sr. laid the foundation from Psalm 119:105 with “The Lamp & the Light,” reminding us that if we are going to walk where God sends us, we need His Word to illuminate each step and direct our path.
God’s Word is the lamp and light we need for the journey. We have what we need in the Word of God. The problem is not the Word, but whether we will seek God, trust Him, and apply His Word to our lives.
We were also reminded that faith is the currency of the Kingdom. Faith is essential to how we live and operate as believers, and “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17. When we have the Word, we can wait on God. We can trust God. We can keep moving even when we cannot see the entire path ahead.
We Know, Now Go, and as we go, let the Word be our lamp and our light.
Revival Night Two: “The Person That God Uses”
On Night Two, “The Person That God Uses,” challenged us to consider whether we are preparing ourselves to be usable by God. We were reminded to be faithful, available, and teachable, and to stop simply asking God to use us and instead ask Him to make us usable.
God is looking for someone willing to say, “Here am I; send me.”
We Know, Now Go, and as we go, make ourselves available for God to use.
Revival Night Three: “F.A.I.T.H.: For All I Trust Him”
Then on the Final Night, Rev. Gibson brought our revival to a close with “F.A.I.T.H.: For All I Trust Him.”
We were challenged to move beyond a faith that has to see before it believes and instead trust what God has said, even when our circumstances seem to say otherwise.
We Know, Now Go, and as we go, we go by faith, trusting Him.
From Sunday morning through Wednesday night, God gave us a clear charge: Know what you believe. Know whose you are. Let your light shine. Stay grounded in the Word. Make yourself usable. Walk by faith.
Homecoming and Revival gave us much to celebrate, but they also gave us much to carry forward.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Now, a very BIG THANK YOU!
Thank you to every ministry leader who planned, organized, coordinated, served, adjusted, filled gaps, and helped make our Homecoming and Revival possible.
Thank you to our Pastor, ministers, ministry leaders, Music Ministry, choirs, praise team, musicians, ushers, hospitality team, security, parking lot attendants, kitchen and food service volunteers, Sunday School, program participants, those who assisted with setup and cleanup, and everyone who served behind the scenes.
A very special thank you to our Media Team for the many hours of preparation before the first service ever began and for working throughout Homecoming and Revival to help everything flow. From slides, audio and video to EasyWorship, graphics, cues, and all of the unexpected things that come with live ministry, thank you for serving with patience, flexibility, and excellence.
Thank you to every Galilee member who invited someone, attended, prayed, gave, served, encouraged our guests, stepped in wherever needed, or simply showed up ready to worship. EVERY ROLE MATTERED, and every act of service contributed to this celebration.
We are also deeply grateful to all of our guest churches, pastors, ministers, choirs, soloists, musicians, family members, friends, and visitors who came and shared with us. Thank you for bringing your gifts, your fellowship, your support, and your presence to the Galilee family.
Most of all, we thank God for allowing Galilee to celebrate 128 years of ministry and for continuing to give us His Word, His direction, and His light for the journey ahead.
Homecoming and Revival may be over, but our assignment continues.
We have heard the Word. We have been reminded of who we are and whose we are. Now it is time to carry what we have received beyond Homecoming and Revival and into our homes, our workplaces, our communities, and wherever God has positioned us.
We Know. Now Go, and as we go, let’s keep Walking in the Light!
With gratitude,
2026 Homecoming & Revival Planning & Program Committee
